Presenter, Speaker & Guest Lecturer
An experienced speaker, presenter and guest lecturer, Charity has presented at over 30 conferences, symposia, festivals and schools in Canada, the United States and Europe. With a research background in interdisciplinary artistic creation, global improvisation, social aesthetics and the ecology of arts practice and pedagogy, she has spoken at both academic and non-academic institutions.
As a guest lecturer, she has lectured on cross-cultural improvisation practices, critical theory and ethics in musical practice, multi-arts creation, arts pedagogy, the intersections of gender and race in music, and provided professional development workshops on artistic production and administration for both undergraduate and graduate students.
