STEAM Powered Stories — Nuit Blanche Toronto at the Ontario Science Centre (2018)
Role: Programmer/curator, logistics and operations, partnership development, budget management
The first-ever Nuit Blanche experience at the Ontario Science Centre saw over 10,000 attendees during it’s inaugural foray into this beloved annual City of Toronto-led event. Performances, light art photography, Carnivale costument making & displays, street performances, star and moon gazing with RASC and two custom art installations presented as part of the Independent Projects program.
A key highlight was the shuttle bus service from the downtown core up to North York, eventually connecting over to Scarborough. Program partners, in addition to the City of Toronto, included the Aga Khan Museum, the Royal Ontario Museum, the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada Toronto Chapter, and Caribana Toronto.
