Lunchtime Live & City Cinema (2016-2017)
Role: Venue management, event production, program host, vendor and contractor management, contract curatorial management and supervision
Two of Yonge Dundas Square’s key public programs offerings, featuring free weekly performances and screenings from June to October. A public square located in the heart of of North America’s busiest intersection, these two programs featured up-and-coming Canadian and international artists, as well as screenings of classic films and Hollywood box office hits.
Lunchtime Live
A weekly concert series taking place during lunch hours on Mondays, featuring a diverse range of musicians across genres and styles — pop, rock, world, classical, hip hop and RnB. Programming for the second season was provided by Canadian Music Incubator, with oversight and guidance provided by Charity. A media and sponsorship partnership with NOW magazine included onsite branding and local print publication.
City Cinema
Featuring free screenings of classic films and Hollywood box office hits, this weekly summertime event regularly featured sold-out crowds of roughly 1,000 people per evening. Partnership portions included establishing relationships with the National Film Board of Canada.
