Farnaz Ohadi’s The Road to Azadi Libertad (2020)

Due to COVID-19, the original, live, performance of Farnaz Ohadi’s Mashregh Ensemble performance for the annual Duende Flamenco festival was transformed into a documentary-style film, giving audiences a deeper understanding about her history and practice as an artist, her story in blending Persian poetry and flamenco music, and the importance of the Vancouver flamenco community in her development as an artist.
