The Bijuriya and Boujee Wacky Tacky Cabaret

Created and conceived by Gabriel Dharmoo (Bijuriya) and Olivia Shortt (Nina Boujee), this queer-centric, drag performance featuring multi and interdisciplinary performance was created specifically for the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Toronto. Previous iterations include presentations for Suoni Per Il Popolo’s annual festival, independent release, and the Mayworks Festival.

A three-act, virtual performance, the project features a mix of performance styles: interactive, virtual improvisation, experimental saxophone, drag South Asian Bollywood, a Purcell opera, and even a cat synthesizer!
